Last year, I wrote about a phenomenon that happens in spring every year. This year, we drove to the capital city of Pretoria to see the city cloaked in purple. It did not disappoint.
While I don't recall the exact streets we went to, we started with lunch at Pappa's in Hatfield with R and C, and basically just followed the purple from there...very scientific, really.

The obligatory action shot of yours truly.
There had been a wind storm the night before, and this was the result: the streets being dusted in purple. There was still plenty left for the trees, though.
Purple carpet.
Glorious branches meeting in the middle.
Love how the light was trying to find a gap to peek through at the end of the street.
So much purple.
Just another day, walking along in purple.
